Luciano De Crescenzo

Luciano De Crescenzo ( born August 20, 1928 in Naples) is an Italian writer and engineer.

Life

De Crescenzo was born in 1928 in the district of Naples Santa Lucia. He studied engineering at the University of Naples and then worked as a senior engineer at computer giant IBM, before the mid- 1970s, very devoted himself to writing and philosophy.

De Crescenzo is divorced, has one daughter and lives in Naples, whose atmosphere he picks up again and again in his books, as well as in Rome.

Publications

To date (February 2006), he has published 26 books, all of which have been international bestsellers. In his books he creates it, the way of life and mentality of his native Italy, but especially his hometown of Naples, humorous to connect with philosophical issues. To date, his work has been translated into 19 languages ​​and 18 million books sold.

After his literary sensation success "So Bella Vista said " De Crescenzo wrote more books on philosophy and the ancient world, in which he took up antique motifs in a humorous way.
