Lucien Vidi

Lucien Vidie (* 1805 in Nantes, † 1866) was a French engineer and inventor. Lucien Vidie is the inventor of the aneroid barometer. According to him, the aneroid doses have also become known as Vidie cans. Such a box is airtight. Its cover bulges depending on air pressure to the inside or outside. The steam engine engineer Vidie let his invention of the aneroid box in 1844 on a friend's name and holder of patent offices in Paris and London, called Pierre Armand Lecomte de Fontainmoreau patented.
