Lucky McKee

Lucky McKee ( born November 1, 1975 in Jenny Lind, California as Edward Lucky McKee ) is an American actor, screenwriter and film director and producer.

Life

Lucky McKee grew up in modest circumstances. At the age of twelve, he turned with an old video camera with a friend in common first amateur films. After graduating from Calaveras High School, McKee moved in 1993 to Los Angeles to study at the University of Southern California 's School of Film - Television. In 1997, he left Los Angeles and returned to California. In 2001 he turned to Chris Sivertson together the low-budget horror film All Cheerleaders Die. This was followed by et al movies May ( 2002), Red (2008) and The Woman ( 2011). In 2013, a remake of All The Cheerleaders is planned.

Awards (selection)

On the Sitges Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantastic de Catalunya McKee was awarded in 2002 and 2011 respectively with the award for best screenplay. For May him on the Málaga International Week of Fantastic Cinema of the award for best screenplay and best film was awarded. He received the Premiere Award 2003 presented at the Festival international du film fantastique in Gerardmer.
