Luděk Macela

Luděk Macela ( born October 3, 1950 in Černolice ) is a former Czech football player. With the Czechoslovak team he won the gold medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics in the Soviet Union.

Club career

Luděk Macela played in his youth for SK Černolice and Tatran Všenory. At age 16, he joined Dukla Prague. Among his first assignments in the 1st Czechoslovak league defender came only in the 1972 season / 73rd Macela Dukla remained for ten years faithfully and won with the army club 1977, 1979 and 1982, the Czechoslovak championship. The national cup was the man Decker 1981 win. In 267 first division matches for Dukla Prague Macela scored twelve goals.

From 1982 to 1985 he played for SV Darmstadt 98 in the 2nd Bundesliga and then ended his career.

Olympic victory

For the Czechoslovak Olympic Team Macela played for the first time in October 1978. In the Summer Olympics 1980, he led the team as captain for the gold medal. Overall Macela denied 17 games for the Olympic team, while he managed to score a goal.

National

In the Czechoslovak national Macela debuted on 15 October 1980. The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic was defeated Argentina 0-1 here. Macelas last of a total of eight games was the 4-0 success against Czechoslovakia UEFA selection on 18 August 1981.

Coach

After his return from Darmstadt Macela worked as a coach at SK Černolice, he also oversaw from 2003 to 2006.

Functionary

From 1997 to mid-2001 Macela was Secretary General of the Czech Football Association and was the same before the Referees Committee. With the fall of the association's president František Chvalovský also Macela was released in June 2001 from his offices.

Subsequently, the former international director of the training center of the AC Sparta Prague in the Strahov Stadium, before he once again Chairman of the Referees Committee (Czech: Komise rozhodčích a delegátů ) 2006.
