Ludwig-Börne-Preis

The Ludwig Boerne Prize is a literary prize of the Ludwig Boerne Foundation, based in Frankfurt am Main. He is one of the most important prices of this kind in Germany.

Aim and method

The Frankfurt banker and publicist Michael Gotthelf founded in 1993 together with other goods not mentioned private individuals a foundation that since the Ludwig Boerne Prize annually awards to German -speaking authors for their outstanding performance in the field of essays, criticism and reportage. Then it would at the Frankfurt writer, revolutionary democrats and political journalists Ludwig Borne (1786-1837) and his work will be remembered.
