Ludwig Wenzel Lachnith

Ludovit Václav Lachnit ( in German speaking countries: Ludwig Wenzel Lachnitt or Lachnith, * July 7, 1746 in Prague, † October 3, 1820 in Paris) was a Czech horn player and composer.

Lachnit was a member of the court orchestra in Zweibrücken. He went to Paris, where he studied composition with Jean -Joseph Rodolphe Horn and François -André Philidor Danican and appeared as a horn player in the Concert spirtuel. He composed numerous instrumental works, but was primarily for his pastiches, in particular by Les mystères d' Isis, an adaptation of Mozart's The Magic Flute, known.
