Luis Antonio Jiménez
Luis Antonio Jiménez Garcés ( born June 17, 1984 in Santiago de Chile) is a Chilean football player, he plays at the position of midfielder. He currently stands at Al -Ahli in Dubai under contract.
Career
In the club
Luis Jiménez started his career with the Chilean club CD Palestino and played there from 2001 to 2002. For season 2002/ 03 changed Jimenez first time abroad, namely to Ternana Calcio, where he remained until the winter break of the season 2005/ 06, before he was loaned to Serie A club Fiorentina. Jiménez is considered a major talent, which he has already been demonstrated in Florence, because after a short time he has been able to win a regular place here, and achieved in the current season, a total of three goals in 19 games.
On 15 January 2007 he transferred by loan for 1 million € to Lazio. The Romans had to the Jiménez option after the season for € 11 million to buy.
For the season 2007/ 08 he joined the Italian champions Inter Milan, who had also lent him. In addition, he succeeded in his second international appearance - the Champions League match Fenerbahçe Istanbul on 27 November 2007 - his first goal in the European arena. In the 2008 /09 season he was finally obliged by Inter.
After a disappointing season with big injury problems, decided the Inter- responsible Jiménez to England to borrow at West Ham United. The London club also has the option to buy the midfielder next summer. The London not attracted the option and so Jiménez returned to his club Inter Milan.
In February 2010, he was loaned to Italian club AC Parma. In the summer of 2010 he returned to Ternana Calcio, but was loaned directly to the 2010/11 season Ascended Serie A club AC Cesena. In summer 2011, he moved from Ternana Calcio Al -Ahli in Dubai.
In the National Team
Jiménez made his debut in the senior team on 28 April 2004 during a friendly match against the Peruvian national team. He scored his first two goals on 9 June 2006 on the qualifying matches for the 2006 World Cup against the Venezuelan national team.
In summer 2004, Jiménez took part in the Copa América Chile and already retired from in the first round.
