Luis Javier González

Luis Javier González ( born June 17, 1969 in Madrid ) is a former Spanish middle distance runner, who specializes in the 800 -meter distance.

At the European Athletics Championships in 1990 in Split, he reached the semi-finals. In 1991 he won the silver medal at the Mediterranean Games and retired at the IAAF World Championships in Tokyo in the flow.

In 1992, he won gold at the Indoor Athletics Championships in Genoa and in 1993 he came at the World Championships in Stuttgart semi-finals. His last major success was the silver medal at the European Indoor Championships in Paris in 1994.

Four times he was outdoors (1990-1993) and twice in the Hall (1991, 1994) Spanish champion.
