Lumière University Lyon 2
The University of Lyon 2, officially Université Lumière Lyon 2, as measured by the number of students, the second largest university of Lyon. It includes most of the humanities, social sciences and economics subjects and Jura.
History
The University of Lyon was relatively late, founded in 1896. 1968 was enacted as a result of student protests a law of Edgar Faure, the full University grossly in a natural science (now Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 ) and a liberal arts university ( Université Lumière Lyon 2 ) split. Also as a result of student protests in the early 1970s, some members of the university with the situation were unhappy, so it 1974 again to secession and the creation of the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 came. To date, the two universities have approximately over the same range of subjects.
