Lunan Bay is a good three -kilometer-long sandy bay in the east of Scotland in the traditional county of Angus.

Lunan Bay is named after the opening at their river Lunan Water, at the mouth of an eponymous hamlet lies. Eleven kilometers south is the town of Arbroath.

In 2000, Lunan Bay was voted the best beach in Scotland. In the northern area there are high dunes. After rough seas you can start looking for semi-precious stones, especially agates go.
