Luqa (or Hal -Luqa ) is one of the smaller places in Malta. In Luqa is the only active passenger airport of Malta, the Malta International Airport.

Air Malta bought the old passenger terminal Luqa and structured the whole site again. Thus, the total passenger-related aviation services were shifting in the built there, Malta International Airport Terminal.

On 31 December 2010 Luqa had 5786 inhabitants.
