Lusignan-Petit

Lusignan -Petit is a commune of 365 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the region of Aquitaine in the department of Lot- et- Garonne. It belongs to the community association Canton de Prayssas.

Geography

Lusignan -Petit is located in the southwest of France, 10 kilometers northwest of Agen and 2 kilometers south-west of Lake Négenou (Lac de Négenou ) between Lot and Garonne in the Pays des Coteaux Doré. Neighboring communities of Lusignan -Petit are Prayssas in the north, Madaillan in the northeast, Colayrac -Saint -Cirq the southeast and Saint- Hilaire- de -Lusignan in the south. History

In the field of Lusignan -Petit was a priory, which belonged to the Abbey of Aurillac. During the Wars of Religion ( 1566), the building was destroyed.
