Lutz Altepost

Lutz Alte Post ( born October 6, 1981 in Emsdetten ) is a former German canoeist and current coach.

Career

His first successes drove Alte Post, which started in the sport at age 10, an already during his school days. After he started the sport at Canu club Emsdetten, he moved to the beginning of his international career for KG food. Since the beginning of 2007 he started for the KC Potsdam, after he ( Coach: Rolf -Dieter Amend ) for several years in the Olympic Training Center in Potsdam trained. First, he was a sports soldier in the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr. Since 2005, he studied besides training in mechanical engineering at the Fachhochschule Brandenburg.

Old post moves next to the one kayak for a long time in the four-man kayak with the German team, and was founded in 2005 after a reshuffle due to the poor performance ( 8th place) at the European Championships of the boat parade batsman. Since this year he is also spokesman for the athletes racing canoeists.

In spring 2007, he could not attend due to illness at the national regattas and was nominated only in non-Olympic distances for the World Cup. Shortly before the World Championships in Duisburg, he was re- hitter of the 1000 -meter quad and led the team then surprisingly the title. In the 2008 Olympics he won the bronze medal with the quad.

Since the winter of 2010, he is the coach in KC Potsdam.
