Lützelbach

Lützelbach is a kreisangehorige municipality in the Odenwald district, in Hesse. The administrative headquarters is located in the largest district of La Petite - Wiebelsbach.

Geography

Geographical Location

The place is located in the northern Odenwald on the Hesse- Bavarian border in a wooded area.

Neighboring communities

Lützelbach borders in the north on the town Breuberg and the city of Upper Castle, on the east by the cities of Wörth am Main and Klingenberg (all 3 Miltenberg district in Bavaria), south to the cities Michel town of Bad König and in the west on the community of Hochst.

  • Width Brunn ( Lützelbach ): The place with 830 inhabitants today is first mentioned in 1273, but probably goes back even to the 11th century.

History

Can well understand how the municipal reform in Hesse in some cases after several intermediate steps led to a lasting result on the history of the community Lützelbach:

On 1 February 1971, the municipalities Haingrund and Seckmauern merged to Steinbach congregation, and the congregation width Brunn was incorporated into the neighboring community of La Petite - Wiebelsbach. On December 31, 1971, the consensual integration of community Rimhorn followed in the church Luetzel - Wiebelsbach. Were then joined by the law on the restructuring of the district Erbach the communities Steinbach and La Petite - Wiebelsbach with effect from 1 August 1972 on the community Luetzel Wiebelsbach. A year later, in turn, on 1 July 1973, the community was renamed in Lützelbach.

In the runoff election on 27 February 2005 Uwe Olt (SPD ) was elected with 56.6 % of the vote to the mayor.

Culture and sights

Worth seeing is the course of the Odenwald limes with Watchtower foundations and traces of Roman forts Lützelbach and Seckmauern. Of importance as a cultural monument is also the Pretlack'sche Palais in Rimhorn, built in 1733 in a striking location above the village of Johann Rudolf Victor von Pretlack.
