The Office Lützow - Lübstorf is located in the southern part of the North West in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). In this office to 15 communities have joined together to do their administrative business. The administrative headquarters is located in the municipality of Lützow.

On January 1, 2005, the Office Lützow - Lübstorf by merging the offices Lützow and Lübstorf / Alt was formed Meteln. On 7 June 2009, Badow and Renzow merged to form the new municipality Badow - Renzow ( 1 October 2009 Change of name to Schildetal ) together.

The office area extends west and north of the state capital Schwerin in a wide arc. It extends from the northwestern shore of Lake Schwerin ( with the island Lieps ) up to the upper shields, near the Schaalsee. By the Authority area flows next to the shields and the Stepenitz. The highest elevation in office is 95.7 m above sea level. NHN located at the Brüsewitz Huttersberg.

Apart from agriculture, Lake Schwerin, in particular, tourism is playing an increasing role. The proximity to the city of Schwerin makes many communities in office as a residential place in the countryside attractive.

Through the Office Lützow - Lübstorf the main road leading 104 ( from Schwerin to Lübeck) and the Federal Highway 106 ( from Wismar to Schwerin ) and railway lines to and from Schwerin.
