The Mons facula is up to 20 km high mountain on Jupiter's moon Amalthea. On the surface of this moon a dark red color has been identified that is likely evidence of volcanic eruptions of Jupiter's moon Io. ( The most striking volcanic Io is the tupan - Patera. ) By Mons Mons Ida the facula has a " twin brother ".
