Lycus (descendant of Lycus)

Lykos (Greek Λύκος ), son of Lycus, the son of Poseidon and Kelaeno, in Greek mythology, was tyrant of Thebes. He is also referred to himself as the son of Poseidon.

Lykos came from Euboea. He came to Thebes, Heracles was absent, and slew Creon, king of Thebes. Creon's daughter, Megara and their children they had together with Heracles, he drove them from their home. Lykos ruled Thebes as a tyrant until Heracles came back and killed him. Then took over Laodamas, the son of Eteocles, the rightful heir to the throne, the government.
