Lyudmila Kolchanova

Lyudmila Sergejewna Koltschanowa (Russian Людмила Сергеевна Колчанова, English transcription Lyudmila Kolchanova, . Born October 1, 1979 in Scharja, Kostroma Oblast ) is a Russian athlete who in 2006 was European champion in the long jump.

At the European Indoor Championships in Madrid in 2005 it was 6.56 m with fifth with three centimeters behind bronze. In Izmir at the Universiade 2005, she won the title with 6.79 meters before the Portuguese Naide Gomes.

At the European Championships 2006 in Gothenburg, she jumped 6.93 meters and won again before Naide Gomes. She also won the long jump at the World Cup in Athens, standing at 6.78 m again before the Portuguese, who took here for the European team. In the final statement of the World Cup also won by the Russians in front of the team in Europe.

In 2007 she improved her personal best of 7.11 m to 7.21 m. In Osaka at the 2007 World Championships, she was with 6.92 m second behind her compatriot Tatyana Lebedeva.
