M45 (missile)
The M 45 are the first stationed on submarines of the French Navy intercontinental ballistic missiles. The rockets were launched in 1997 together with the first nuclear -powered submarine of the new Triomphant class and each carry six TN -71 warheads with an explosive force of 100 kT, according to other sources up to 150 kT. The warheads were detonated at the date last French nuclear tests in 1995/96 on Mururoa.
M 45 are a further development of the M 4; they are but also with components of the follow-up project M 51 is provided.
