Ma Dai

Ma Dai (马岱) was a general under Ma Teng, Ma Chao, and later under the Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms in ancient China.

He was a nephew of Ma Teng. When he was summoned by Cao Cao in the capital, he followed him, Cao Cao was able to stop but missed. He then remained with his cousin Ma Chao and fought with him at Tong Gate against Cao Cao. After their defeat both went to Liu Bei to serve him.

In the turmoil after Zhuge Liang's death (234 ) Ma Dai served under Wei Yan. When Wei Yan claimed the succession as regent for himself, attacked Ma Dai and the other officers at him and killed him. For Ma Dai was rewarded with the command of Hanzhong, which had previously occupied Wei Yan.
