Ma Teng

Ma Teng (马腾) (* 156, † 212) was a Chinese officer and a descendant of the famous Han general Ma Yuan, father of Ma Chao, governor of Liang Province and one of the eight riders from Han Sui.

Ma Teng 184 participated in the coalition against Dong Zhuo. After its dissolution he went back to the Liang Province, to consolidate his rule. Together with Liu Bei, he participated in a plot to kill Cao Cao. When the plan was uncovered, he managed to escape to his province. Years later forced him to Cao Cao with an edict to go with his sons Ma Ma Xui and Tie in the capital Xu Chang, where all three were murdered.
