Maackia

Maackia, in German also called yellow wood, is a plant genus in the family Fabaceae ( Faboideae ) within the legume family ( Fabaceae ). It is native to East Asia. In Europe it is known by the Asian Yellow Wood ( Maackia amurensis ), which is used as an ornamental plant.
Description
Maackia species are deciduous trees and shrubs. The gray- brown bark of the branches has elongated, brown Korkporen. The axillary buds are 5-7 millimeters in size, they are broadly ovate and pointed, and are of two overlapping, dark purple brown and white hairy bud scales covered. The straight to curved legumes are 3.5 to 5 inches long, oblong- linear and strongly flattened and contain one to five seeds. The light brown seeds are long flat, elliptical and 6 millimeters long.,
