Maastricht Wildcats

The Maastricht Wildcats are a Dutch American football team from Maastricht.

History

The Wildcats in 1998 were founded under the name Limburg Wildcats. After the Tulip Bowls reach in 2001, the one lost 6:7 against the Hilversum Hurricanes, the team broke apart and was re-established under the name of Maastricht Wildcats 2002. After the new beginning in the third division, the Wildcats in 2004 and 2005 respectively managed the climb and play since 2006 in the highest Dutch league. 2007 celebrated the Wildcats their biggest success with victory in the Tulip Bowl. In the final of the Master Subscription Amsterdam Crusaders could be defeated by 25:16. In 2008, the Wildcats met in the final of the Crusaders, but lost 8:20.
