Mabini (Batangas)

Mabini is a Philippine municipality in the province of Batangas. The municipality is located on the peninsula Calumpang, the Batangas Bay separates from the Balayan Bay. On the peninsula of Panay volcano, which rises to a height of 501 meters. Mabini projects through its location in the Isla Verde Street, this is considered a hot spot of biodiversity in the Philippines and worldwide.

Mabini was an independent municipality on 1 January 1918 and was previously a part of the municipality of Bauan. It was named after the most famous son of the church, the hero of the Philippine Revolution Apolinario Mabini. Mabini was known for its diving and snorkeling sites.

Attractions

Anilao

Anilao is a village consisting of the barangays Anilao Proper and Anilao East, which is popular with divers and snorkelers. In several local dive centers are located, organize diving trips to dive sites in the Balayan Bay near the Cape Bagalangit and near the island of Sombrero and Maricaban. Snorkelling is near the beaches Cemetery Beach, Red Palm Beach on the island Maricaban and around the Sepok Point.
