The denarius ( Macedonian: денар; plural: Denari, macedonian денари, internationally also Denars ) is the currency in Macedonia.

The ISO 4217 code for the Denar is MKD. It is divided into 100 Deni. The Deni are no longer needed today. They are distributed exclusively to collectors. The name derives from the Roman denarius coin.

After independence in 1992, the Macedonian Macedonian Denar replaced the Yugoslav dinar.
