Madhur Mittal

Madhur Mittal; Hindi: मधुर मित्तल; Urdu: مدھر دوستتل; (* 1987 in Agra ) is an Indian actor. A wide audience, he became known for his role as Salim Malik in the movie Slumdog Millionaire (2008).

Early years and career

Madhur was born in Agra. He attended Abhinav Degree College. He is currently studying drama at the University of Mumbai.

Won the 1997 Madhur Boogie Woogie a famous show on Indian television. He and his family moved to Mumbai and worked as an actor and dancer. He joined the ensemble of Abhinav Vidya Mandir and entered the world of 950 in dance shows. He also played with as a child star in a number of Indian films, like One Two Ka Four, Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye and Say Salaam India.

Madhur Mittal's role in Slumdog Millionaire brought him worldwide attention. He prepared himself with environmental studies on its role as a criminal. To prepare him director Danny Boyle is also studying the " Godfather film series" recommended.

In 2008, the ensemble of the film for the Black Reel Award nominated, a film prize, which is actually only awarded to African-American performers. The ensemble won the Screen Actors Guild Award.

Mittal plays Anwar Razdan in the second season of the Indian series Kidnap and Ransom.
