Madison Smartt Bell

Madison Smartt Bell ( born 1957 in Nashville, Tennessee, USA ) is an American writer and professor of literature.

Life

Madison Smartt Bell studied literature at Princeton and then lived as a freelance writer for several years in London and New York. He taught creative writing at several American universities, including the prestigious Iowa Writers' Workshop and Johns Hopkins University, currently he is a professor of English Literature at Goucher College in Virginia. Madison Smartt Bell since 1983, has published numerous novels.

He lives in Baltimore.
