Madlitz-Wilmersdorf

Madlitz- Wilmersdorf was a town south-east of Berlin in the Oder-Spree district of Brandenburg. The municipality was part of the Office or foreshore.

Geography

The community was right on the river Spree.

To Madlitz- Wilmersdorf included the districts Alt Madlitz, Falkenberg and Wilmersdorf, as well as the living spaces:

  • Emilienhof,
  • Fisherman's House,
  • Madlitzer mill
  • New Madlitz,
  • Vorwerk Madlitz,
  • Vorwerk Wilmersdorf,
  • Waldhof

History

The municipality was formed on 31 December 2001 by the merger of the former municipalities Alt Madlitz and Wilmersdorf. Already on October 8, 1948 New Madlitz was incorporated into Old Madlitz.

On October 26, 2003 Falkenberg was incorporated in Fiirstenwalde in the community Madlitz -Wilmersdorf.

On January 1, 2014, the community was incorporated into Briesen (Mark).

The local council consisted of 10 women council and councilors spread since the local elections of 28 September 2008 is as follows among the various lists and parties:

  • DVU - 1 seat
  • Citizens Alliance - 4 seats
  • WG Falkenberg - 2 seats
  • WFFW Alt Madlitz - 2 seats

Traffic

The community is located south of the national road 5, which runs from Frankfurt ( Oder) to Berlin.
