Madman Entertainment is an Australian company that specializes in the distribution of anime and manga in Australia and New Zealand.

Among the most famous publications include Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Akira and the complete catalog of Studio Ghibli. The company is managed by its two founders, Tim Anderson and Paul Wiegard. Currently about 100 people are employed in different departments and generates an estimated 50 million dollars in sales per year.

Some publications were developed in collaboration with the English distributors MVM Films and Revelation film in order to minimize production costs. For this reason, some DVD releases are equipped with two region codes. (Region 2 and Region 4 ). Some publications are also provided without region code. The reason is that these were imported from America and simply get only new packaging.

Thus, the large number of manga publications by Tokyopop in America and by Chuang Yi in Singapore, it was decided at Madman Entertainment to import these and distribute in Australia. In early 2008 announced Madman that they will also publish manga by Viz Media.
