Mads Christensen (ice hockey, born 1987)

Mads Christensen ( born April 2, 1987 in Herning ) is a Danish professional ice hockey player who stands since 2010 at the Berlin Polar Bears of the German Ice Hockey League contract.

Career

Mads Christensen began as a four year old with ice hockey in the junior department of the Herning Blue Fox. In 2002 he made ​​the jump to the pros in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen. At 15, he came to six games in professional hockey and was able in 2003 to celebrate the Danish Championship. In the next two years, the striker continued to play at junior level and in the second team of the Blue Fox. From the season 2005/ 06 he was able to achieve also a regular points scorer. By 2008, Christensen was able to win four title wins in six years with Herning Blue Fox. For the season 2008/ 09 he moved to SønderjyskE Ishockey and defeated in the final of the play-offs his former team from Herning. Was remarkable in this championship that his team in the meantime was in last place during the season. In addition, the attacker was elected Danish Player of the Year and to the All- Star team in the league. In the 2009/10 season Christensen was at the Iserlohn Roosters under contract. In his first race for the Sauerland, he scored two goals and two assists, including the winning goal by penalty to 6:5. Subsequently, he was voted the best player of the game. Internationally
