Mae Whitman
Mae Margaret Whitman ( born June 9, 1988 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress. She is the daughter of actress Pat Musick.
Life
She began her career with a voice over for a commercial and made in 1994 at the site of Meg Ryan made her film debut in the drama When a Man Loves a Woman. For his role in the film One Fine Day (1996 ), in which she starred opposite Michelle Pfeiffer and George Clooney, she won the 1997 Young Artist Award and was nominated for the Young Star Award. From 1997, she served for seven years as a voice for the animated television series Johnny Bravo. In A Second Chance (1998) she played alongside Sandra Bullock, for this role, she won the 1999 Young Artist Award and was nominated for the 1998 Young Star Award. For her role in the film drama An American Rhapsody, she was awarded in 2001 with a Young Artist Award.
In the sitcom State of Grace they had from 2001 to 2002 a major role, it was followed by a supporting role in the television series Arrested Development. From 2005 to 2008 she lent the comic book character Katara from Avatar - The Last Airbender her voice. Since 2010 she plays a major role in the TV series Parenthood.
