Mae Young

Johnnie Mae Young ( born March 12, 1923 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma; † January 14 in Columbia, South Carolina, 2014 ) was an American professional wrestler.

Career

Johnnie Mae Young gave her wrestling debut in 1939. Early in her career she appeared predominantly in the WWWA and NWA Florida, including the NWA Florida women's title was secure and there was the first NWA United States Women's Champion. In 1999, Young in the WWF. She was there barely active in the ring and focused more on comedy segments with Fabulous Moolah. Mae Young managed this even when they won the WWF Women's Titles at No Mercy 1999.
