Maerua Mall

The Maerua Mall with the original Maerua Park and opposite Maerua Lifestyle Centre and the planned shopping center Maerua Crossing in Windhoek currently form (July 2013), the largest shopping center in Namibia. Construction

The Maerua complex consists of three areas:

  • The Maerua Park, a shopping center located in the office complex, is the original part of the Maerua complex.
  • The Maerua Mall is a shopping mall has a total floor area of ​​40,000 square meters and has more than 90 shops. The Maerua Mall was opened in 2001. A doubling of the retail space was achieved in 2006 by an extension (Phase II). This was opened by the Namibian President Hifikepunye Pohamba. The largest tenants include checkers, Truworths, Stuttafords, Mr Price, Virgin Active and Ster Kinekor.

In May 2012, began with the expansion of Phase III. This includes, among other things, 577 new parking spaces, an extended shopping area of ​​5500 m² with the new main tenant Woolworths and an office complex with eight floors. The costs are estimated at N $ 300 million.

  • The Maerua Lifestyle Centre is located opposite the shopping center. The main tenant is Maerua Super Spar.
