Maflahi

The Scheichtum Maflahi, Muflahi (Arabic مفلحي Muflaḥī ), a state was within the South Arabian Federation, after it was briefly part of the Federation of Arab Emirates of the South. Originally it had been one of five Sheikhdoms which had been part of Upper Yafa. His last Sheikh was Abdulrahaman Kassim Al- Muflahi. This was overthrown and his Scheichtum went in 1967 in the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen. The area is now part of the Republic of Yemen. In the 1960s, several members of the Al- Maflahi family moved to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
