Maggie Vessey

Maggie Vessey ( born December 23, 1981 in Santa Cruz, California) is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the 800 -meter run.

Vessey attended the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and in 2005 was second in the NCAA Championships in the 800 -meter run. An injury in the following season, she threw back in your development. In the U.S. knockouts for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, she finished fifth.

2009 suggested Vessey at Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, surprisingly, the Kenyan Olympic champion Pamela Jelimo. The following month, they increased their personal best at the Herculis Monaco in 1:57,27 minutes and achieved an interim Weltjahresbestleistung. At the World Championships in Berlin, however, they could not qualify for the final, finishing seventh of their semi-final run. 2010 and 2011, they were each second in the U.S. Championships. At the 2011 World Championships in Daegu she finished sixth.
