Mago (agricultural writer)

Mago was a Carthaginian writer of the second century BC

Mago, of which little else is known, wrote a work in 28 books on agriculture. The work was translated into Roman Senate resolution under the direction of D. Junius Silanus into Latin. Later Cassius Dionysius also wrote a Greek translation. The original and both translations are now lost and otherwise known only in some citations.
