The Rivière Magog (English Magog River) is a river in the Estrie administrative region in the extreme south of the Canadian province of Quebec.

The river was dewatered at the Lac Magog Memphrémagog. It flows for a distance of 31.8 km in a northeasterly direction towards Sherbrooke, where he runs into the Rivière Saint -François.

Hydropower plants

There are several dams and seven hydroelectric power plants along the river course. They are operated by the two utilities Hydro -Magog and Hydro- Sherbrooke. Hydroelectric power plants use the slope of the Rivière Magog of 64 m and have an installed capacity of about 14 MW. The Rock Forest embankment dams on the river to Lac Magog.
