Mahmut Cuhruk

Mahmut Celalettin Cuhruk ( born March 1, 1925 in Yozgat ) is a Turkish lawyer and was 1988-1990 President of the Turkish Constitutional Court.

Career

After Cuhruk 1947 had completed his studies at the Law Faculty of Ankara University, he was working as a deputy prosecutor in Diyarbakir. Later, he was a prosecutor in Kurtalan, Kalecik and Diyarbakır and investigating judge at the Turkish Ministry of Justice. In 1973 he was appointed a member of the Turkish Court of Cassation and 1981 a full member of the Turkish Constitutional Court. He was elected on 2 March 1988 and was president until March 1, 1990 at the office.
