Maija Saari

Maija Saari Karoliina ( born March 26, 1986 in Vaasa ) is a Finnish football player. The defender is the Swedish club Umea IK under contract and playing for the Finnish national team.

Saari began her career at FC Kiisto in Vaasa and later moved to FC Honka Espoo. With Honka it was 2006, 2007 and 2008 Finnish Champion. In 2009 she joined the Swedish club Umea IK.

With the U-19 national team, she participated in the European Championships in 2004 and 2005 and in 2005 reached the semi-finals. A year later, she went with the Finnish U -20 team for the World Cup to Russia.
