Main course

As a main course or main course (as opposed to entrees and desserts ) are referred to the court (usually the second or third in the sequence of courses) takes in a number of courses, the menu as mentioned, the central and dominant place. In general, the main dish is prepared and served warm.

In the classical menu sequence is referred to as the pièce de résistance.
