Maisie Williams

Maisie Williams (born 15 April 1997) is a British actress, best known for her role as Arya Stark in the TV series Game of Thrones.

Career

Maisie Williams was born in April 1997, grew up in Somerset and attended the Norton Hill School in Midsomer Norton. Since then, she studied dance at the Susan Hill School of Dancing. In 2010 she was casting for the British film Nanny McPhee - all of a sudden in a new adventure under the last two candidates, but did not get the role. She was known by her first role as Arya Stark, the youngest daughter of the Lord of Winterfell, in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones, based on the novels A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. For this role she was awarded the Ensemble Series at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2012 and 2014 in the category Best Acting Ensemble nominated. In 2012 she received when the SFX Awards nomination for Best Actress and 2013 she was nominated for best supporting actress of a television series for a Young Artist Award.
