Maja Beutler

Maja Beutler ( born December 8, 1936 in Bern ) is a Swiss writer.

Life

Maja Beutler grew up in Bern. She worked as a translator after she had completed the Dolmetscherschule Zurich. She also completed several study visits to France, England and Italy. 1976 Maja Beutler joined with the story collection Flushing missing on the map to the public. 1983/84 she worked as a house writer at the Stadttheater Bern and worked also for years as a freelancer for Swiss Radio DRS. It is one of the few Swiss playwrights in Germany. Today she lives in Bern.
