Maja Vtič

Maja Vtic [ ʍ'titʃ ] ( born January 27, 1988 in Novo Mesto ) is a Slovenian ski jumper and lives in Mirna.

Career

Vtic that starts for the club SD Zabrdje and is trained by Damjan Šemrl, made ​​her international debut on 19 February 2003 at the FIS jumping in width mountain. On July 23, 2004, she made ​​her debut in the FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup. Here she succeeded in the first two competitions in Park City with the 18th place of the jump in the points. On 12th February 2005 she succeeded to the Great Hearthstone hill in Baiersbronn with second place for the first time the front runners. After another good results they finished the 2004/05 season in 8th place of the Continental Cup overall standings.

At the Junior World Cup 2007 in Tarvisio, she won the normal hill behind Lisa Demetz and Katie Willis the bronze medal. Even after their performance went back up. On February 1, 2014 Vtic jumped into Hinzenbach to third place and reached their first World Cup podium. With the Olympic debut of women's ski jumping she finished sixth and thus was best Slovene.
