Majda Å irca

Majda Širca ( born April 20, 1953 in Postojna) is a Slovenian art historian, journalist and politician. In the government Borut Pahor it was from 2008 to 2011 as a member of the Liberal Democracy of Slovenia ( LDS), Minister of Culture of Slovenia.

After her degree in art history, she worked as a television journalist. From 1997, she was Secretary of State at the Slovenian Ministry of Culture, since 2000 she has been a Member of the Slovenian Parliament. On 21 November 2008 she was appointed Minister of Culture.
