Majestic Vanguard

Majestic Vanguard is a metal band from Sweden whose music music belongs to the melodic metal. Their lyrics are strongly influenced by the Christian ideology, so the group can be associated with the Christian Metal.

Band History

The band consists in varying combinations and under different names since the early nineties. Founded in 1993 as a rock band, they existed until the departure of their keyboardist John Lönnmyr 1995. During this period some demo tapes. When Peter Sigfridsson was hired as a singer in 2003, a start-up, nothing stood in the way and so the melodic metal band "Divine Disciples " was established.

A 2004 recorded demo tape led to the collaboration with the label " Rivel Records ". As a result, came a new member, guitarist Johan Abelson to the formation, in which " Majestic Vanguard" renamed itself. Their debut album "Beyond The Moon " was created in the spring of 2005. Since June 2006 Mark Gunnardo has temporarily taken the place of the lead singer, as Peter Sigfriedsson was eliminated due to vocal problems. Since late 2006, Peter is back and since May 2007 a new band member. Lars Walfridsson takes over as bass part and Andreas Andersson who has rocked up to that point on the bass takes over the second guitar.
