Majlinda Kelmendi

Majlinda Kelmendi (born 9 May 1991 Peja ) is an Albanian judoka.

Career

1999 Kelmendi began with Judo in her hometown of Peja in Kosovo. Your trainer is Driton Kuka.

She won the gold medal at the Junior World Championships 2009 in Paris. She was fifth at the Junior World Championships 2010 in Morocco and ninth in the 52 kg class at the World Judo Championships 2010 in Tokyo. Because the resistance of the International Olympic Committee and the United Nations, she was not allowed to Kosovo to be represented at the 2012 Olympic Games, instead she represented Albania.

In the World Judo Championships in 2013, she won gold.
