Makadi Bay

Makadi Bay is a resort town in Egypt. The facility is located approximately 30 kilometers south of Hurghada on the Red Sea.

Location

The purely touristy village is located on and around 4 kilometers of coastline in a small bay, Makadi Bay and its southern foothills.

The place consists almost exclusively of around 20 major hotel and club facilities. One finds there souvenir shops, nationality restaurants, barber shops and a golf course. The place looks generally calm and refined as Hurghada. In the center of the bay there is a gently sloping sandy beach. At low tide swimming is restricted. In general, we recommend wearing slippers. Directly behind the hotel facilities begins the Arabian Desert.

Sports

The many house reef offer snorkelling, where even small wrecks have to sift through. A variety of fish (tobacco Butterflyfish, bigmouth mackerel, Indian Segelflossendoktor, Picasso Triggerfish, Damselfish, Arab doctor fish) can be observed in the coral reefs. A diving school is also on site.

The Madinat Makadi Golf Course is just a kilometer away from the center and offers a golf course with 18 holes.
