Makeyev Rocket Design Bureau

The State Rocket Center Makejev in 1947 as a mechanical design engineer office (Russian Конструкторское бюро машиностроения ) founded in 1993 in State Rocket Center " designer office Viktor Petrovich Makejev " (Russian Государственный ракетный центр " Конструкторское бюро им. Академика В. П. Макеева " ГРЦ, English SRC) renamed. Its seat is in Miass in the Chelyabinsk Oblast.

The SRC is one of the leading Russian designer offices of submarine - launched ballistic missiles. Since the early 1960s, the SRC has developed three generations of missiles for the Soviet Navy, and even today they form the backbone of the Russian missile submarine -based nuclear forces.

The SRC is attending today the programs of the Russian space agency and is on the way to achieve an ever larger part of his income from civilian stores.
