Makino

The K. K. Makino Furaisu Seisakujo (Japanese株式会社 牧野フライス製作所, Kabushiki - gaisha ~, dt "Milling - production work Makino ," engl. Makino Milling Machine Co., Ltd.. ) Is a Japanese manufacturer of machine tools.

History

The company was founded in May 1937 by Tsunezo Makino (牧野 常 造) as Makino Shoten Seisakubu (牧野 商店 制作 部, " production department, business Makino " ) for the manufacture of milling machines and in March 1942 in Makino Kata Furaisu Seisakujo (牧野 堅 フライス 製作所, " vertical milling plant Makino ," engl. Makino vertical Milling Machine) renamed. May 1951 was the organization as a corporation and April 1961, the name change to the present name. 1958 Japan's first NC milling machine was made.

In 1978 an equity stake in the German Heidenreich and Harbeck GmbH and the opening of a production there. In 2000, a second German location in Kirchheim unter Teck was founded. The European headquarters of Makino Europe GmbH located in Hamburg with P. Anders Ingemarsson as President and CEO.

In 1967, the production facility was built in Atsugi, but is not in Atsugi, but in neighboring Aikawa. Since 1987 is also in Katsuyama ( incorporated by Fujikawaguchiko ) produced. Another production facility is located in Singapore.
