Malaysia national ice hockey team
The Malaysian national hockey team of men is part of the Malaysian Hockey Federation ( Malaysia Ice Hockey Federation). Current coach is George Winston.
History
The Malaysian national hockey team took first time in 2007 in an official tournament when she finished the eighth of eleven places at the Asian Winter Games. In the match for 7th place, the team defeated the enemy Kuwait significantly with 2:10. The following year, Malaysia first participated at the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia than they could achieve their greatest success with the second place behind the Republic of China. A year later, Malaysia qualified for the semifinals, where the national team defeated the eventual winner from the United Arab Emirates with 1:3. The subsequent match for 3rd place ruled Malaysia with a 4-3 victory over Thailand for itself.
